The Internet :)
The internet is a wonderful global system full of great info an loads of weird, amazing, factual and interesting information. You can play games, watch videos and update your thoughts and activities on various different social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and so many more.
There are countless uses for the the internet, some are listed above, but not all of internet users use it for good reasons -
Hackers
Statistically, one the main reasons people hack websites, Facebook accounts; know as "fraping", and private accounts, is so they can deface the website. Maybe they just don’t like the person on the website and want to do something to hurt that person's feelings, or maybe they just wanted to do it to look cool in front of there friends! and have a joke about it! Most hackers get onto website databases through SQL injection , but there is still loads of techniques hackers use to tap into databases that are unknown to the police and other authorities. The people most affected by computer hackers are the government/law enforcement/celebrities and people in politics.
Cyber-bullying
Many people get Cyber-bullied. Now that technology is getting more advanced, more and more children are using chartrooms like MSN and Facebook. This is fine with MSN as there is no age limit, but you must always be careful because there is no age limit for the old and young on MSN. These people who are Cyber-bullies just mean that they don’t have the balls to say it in real life and that’s the truth of the matter, but even then you must tell someone that you are being bullied even if its your best friend that your being bullied by. You could tell a teacher or even your sports coach, It just takes the weight off your shoulders and then that person will help you to resolve your problem (A problem shared is a problem halved) and remember you are not allowed to go onto Facebook unless you are of thirteen years of age. Its all for safety!

Pedophilia
Like I said in the last part paragraph, loads of young children are signing up to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. This is bad. The reason there are age limits for these types of websites is mainly because of Cyber-bullying, child pornography and discrimination of the way people look. Child pornography is when a adult takes illegal pictures of children, under the age of sixteen, and uses those pictures for bad things or puts them on the internet for other paedophiles to see. Some boys and girls put pictures on the internet that reveal a bit more than they should, like girls in bikinis posing for the camera. It's not good and its not safe! Paedophiles can get to those pictures, if that person doesn’t have a privacy settings where you can control who sees your pictures, and your profile, on Facebook. If you haven’t already got a private profile on Facebook here is how to get it. Click on the little arrow pointing down by home on the blue bar at the top, click on the privacy settings then follow the instructions provided.

Its not all bad on the internet there are so many good uses for it also …....
The internet helps you to study for your GCSE and A levels in a way that a book can't. It also helps businesses small and large with their sales. They can also advertise on the internet for those sales. People like to express their opinions online because sometimes its the only place they really can. On social networking sights you can update your whereabouts and feelings about things you care about, saying anything, within reason! Social networking is good like that! You can sell anything online, from clothes to a bath if you really wanted, on places like Ebay and Amazon - its a great way to get money quickly.
One of my favourite things to do on the internet is shopping. I love it when I have no time to go shopping, its quick and it is easy. Most shops have a website from Tesco's for food shopping to river island and places like sports direct for your clothes!
The internet is a wonderful place ! DON'T ABUSE IT!
